Maybe you mean: 'home-slider'
This incredible trip to Russia has proved to continue in the manner in which it started, a chaotic, hectic rush where time is a luxury. Less than 48 hours after 7 hours at the pleasure of Aeroflot, I’d be side stage, waiting to deliver my latest barbering show to a packed Soho Rooms in Moscow.
Day one was spent perusing an endless virtual carrousel of chisel-jawed gents, casting for the show & photo-shoot. The rich pool of models meant I could be very selective when choosing the mediums on which I would create my latest collection, Gangland.
Show day was packed with prep work with only intermittent interruptions for magazine interviews & meetings. A sweet girl, Valerie, had travelled all the way from St. Petersburg for an interview for Hair Of The Season magazine on barbering & the latest trends. She also stayed for the show & later on, the photo-shoot.
It was then time to take to the stage & set in motion a show that would see me complete four restyles, two beard trims & a traditional wet shave in front of a packed auditorium. The New Yorker was fast-paced and exhilarating, the only breathers coming during video presentations by Wahl, Lock, Stock & Barrel & myhairdressers.com. The crowd’s participation & energy made the show feel like it was over in a mere instant. It was a pleasure to meet the audience afterwards & take photos; they’d made the show so special.
After the show, I was whisked off to a fabulous little photo studio in Moscow to shoot the finished collections but we’ll leave that for next time!
